MASSA is the champ no matter what !!

"I'm very proud and I'm leaving the track with my head completely up because I think we did everything we could."

for those of u who missed the finish of brazillian grandprix u missed a lot .. although the result came out as expected :( [ the driver i dislike won WDC (
LH) ] .. massa did a stunner .. vettel was absolutely awsome .. and glock sucked .. yes the reason massa lost was because of glock . with all due respect to glock . why the hell did he give that place to hamilton , it would have been again a miracle win for massa ....if not for glock i would have been jumping around like a guy who won a zillion dollars :( !.

here is the list of events ..
  • lewis on 4th massa 1st
  • rain starts with 5 laps to go
  • glock stays out and every body pits
  • glock 4th , hami 5th vettel 6th
  • vettel overtakes hami awsomely and hami down to 6th
  • massa set to win WDC with corner to go
  • glock screwes up inlast corner lewis comes 5th and wins the championship ...

but inside i still feel massa lost because of his badluck .. not because of his abilities .. So inside my heart massa will always be the champ for me

" the infamous hungary screw up that might have cost massa the title :(

All in all it was a great year ... but it would have been magnificient if only massa would have won :( ....

F1 WDC who will be the winner

well iam going to watch the race on tv in 5 mins .. hope massa wins some how :( . .. expect a long post later

welcome to sajjanpur ....

very few movies i saw recently have actually managed to make me write about them(actually none) but i must say welcome to sajjan pur is a true master piece .. the way teh characters are sketched is awsome and the songs are pretty entertaining .. although this would not be a movie in which you would be coming out crying but you would surely have a happy face ... and my favourite part in the movie has to be the elections in which a eunuch stands for elections and the way his/her character is shown .. and they way the movie ended was awsome...
totally worth a watch ...

shreyas did awsome as usual :)

copyrights copyrights copyrights

well these days i met many intellectually sound people , and you know what i found common in all of them they want copyrights even for small silly things that actually don't mean that much when you observe things with common sense, yet people want to keep their knowledge with themselves .. they want to get the control over knowledge .. but little did they know that the more you control the more harm you are doing to yourselves and the society.why do they want to do copyrights over such silly thing as a simple animation or a web design that it selves looks crappy and i in no way would copy that .

well i dream of living in a world where people work for sharing things , people like to spread knowledge , people like to help others , people are happy seeing others happy rather than becoming jealous.... hope that day comes soon or iam already starting to feel suffocated to live in this freedom less world where people are greedy for money and fame.....

but i see some hope in FOSS/ FSF / Creative Commons ... most of my friends say " what do people earn by supporting FOSS/ CC/FSF , they cant make people earn money, they are doomed" .. the fact that they cant make people earn money may be true but dont forget they do more good than most poor-people's-blood sucking multinationals whose main aim is to earn money at any cost ...

i hope u agree with me
please comment

prophet mohammed ( PBUH ) 's last sermon ...

This sermon was delivered on the Ninth Day of Dhul Hijjah 10 A.H. in the 'Uranah valley of Mount Arafat' (in Mecca).

After praising, and thanking Allah he said:

"O People, lend me an attentive ear, for I know not whether after this year, I shall ever be amongst you again. Therefore listen to what I am saying to you very carefully and TAKE THESE WORDS TO THOSE WHO COULD NOT BE PRESENT HERE TODAY.

O People, just as you regard this month, this day, this city as Sacred, so regard the life and property of every Muslim as a sacred trust. Return the goods entrusted to you to their rightful owners. Hurt no one so that no one may hurt you. Remember that you will indeed meet your LORD, and that HE will indeed reckon your deeds. ALLAH has forbidden you to take usury (interest), therefore all interest obligation shall henceforth be waived. Your capital, however, is yours to keep. You will neither inflict nor suffer any inequity. Allah has Judged that there shall be no interest and that all the interest due to Abbas ibn 'Abd'al Muttalib (Prophet's uncle) shall henceforth be waived...

Beware of Satan, for the safety of your religion. He has lost all hope that he will ever be able to lead you astray in big things, so beware of following him in small things.

O People, it is true that you have certain rights with regard to your women, but they also have rights over you. Remember that you have taken them as your wives only under Allah's trust and with His permission. If they abide by your right then to them belongs the right to be fed and clothed in kindness. Do treat your women well and be kind to them for they are your partners and committed helpers. And it is your right that they do not make friends with any one of whom you do not approve, as well as never to be unchaste.

O People, listen to me in earnest, worship ALLAH, say your five daily prayers (Salah), fast during the month of Ramadan, and give your wealth in Zakat. Perform Hajj if you can afford to.

All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over black nor a black has any superiority over white except by piety and good action. Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim and that the Muslims constitute one brotherhood. Nothing shall be legitimate to a Muslim which belongs to a fellow Muslim unless it was given freely and willingly. Do not, therefore, do injustice to yourselves.

Remember, one day you will appear before ALLAH and answer your deeds. So beware, do not stray from the path of righteousness after I am gone.

O People, NO PROPHET OR APOSTLE WILL COME AFTER ME AND NO NEW FAITH WILL BE BORN. Reason well, therefore, O People, and understand words which I convey to you. I leave behind me two things, the QURAN and my example, the SUNNAH and if you follow these you will never go astray.

All those who listen to me shall pass on my words to others and those to others again; and may the last ones understand my words better than those who listen to me directly. Be my witness, O ALLAH, that I have conveyed your message to your people".

Yet another sucide at IIT Kanpur

what can i write ... well just knew about the suicide about 4 hours ago ... imagine she committed suicide 12 hrs before convocation :(( ... the reason was she couldn't pass out this time .. with due respect to her iam not going to comment about why she committed suicide or about the academic pressure and so on . But i would like to say that imagine how alone she would have felt .. or why would she commit suicide , so i feel this is a failure of student community also , were we so self centered that we couldnt notice somebody in distress .. i feel sad but what can i do nothin i write here will effect any body or will change anything but it will just get erased along with time.

May God take care of her in after life , hope i wont see any more of this during rest of my time at IITk.

why hijab

This article is taken from http://www.alinaam.org.za/library/hijaab.htm,
written by Sultana Yusuf Ali,
17 Year Old High School Student
Published in Toronto Star - Young People's Press

WHY DO I WEAR HIJAAB !!

I probably do not fit into the preconceived notion of a 'rebel'. I have no visible tattoos and minimal piercings. I do not possess a leather jacket. In fact, when most people look at me, their first thought usually is something along the lines of 'oppressed female'.

The brave individuals who have mustered the courage to ask me about the way I dress usually have questions like: 'Do you parents make you wear that?' or, 'Don't you find that really unfair?'

A while back, a couple of girls in Montreal were kicked out of school for dressing like I do. It seems strange that a little piece of cloth would make for such controversy. Perhaps the fear is that I am harbouring an Uzi underneath it.

Of course, the issue at hand is more than a mere piece of cloth. I am a Muslim woman who, like millions other Muslim women across the globe, chooses to wear the Hijaab. And the concept of the Hijaab, contrary to popular opinion, is actually one of the most fundamental aspects of female empowerment. When I cover myself, I make it virtually impossible for people to judge me according to the way I look.

I cannot be categorised because of my attractiveness or lack thereof. Compare this to life in today's society: We are constantly sizing one another up on the basis of our clothing, jewellery, hair and makeup. What kind of depth can there be in a world like this?

Yes, I have a body, a physical manifestation upon this Earth. But it is the vessel of an intelligent mind and a strong spirit. It is not for the beholder to leer at or to use in advertisements to sell everything from beer to cars. Because of the superficiality of the world in which we live, external appearances are so stressed that the value of the individual counts for almost nothing. It is a myth that women in today's society are liberated. What kind of freedom can there be when a woman cannot walk down the street without every aspect of her physical self being 'checked out'. When I wear the Hijaab I feel safe from all of this. I can be rest assured that no one is looking at me and making assumptions about my character from the length of my skirt. There is a barrier between me and those who would exloit me. I am first and foremost a human being and not vulnerable because of my sexuality. One of the saddest truths of our time is the question of the beauty myth and female self-image. Reading popular teenage magazines, you can instantly find out what king of body image is 'in' or 'out'. And if you have the 'wrong' body type, well, then, you're just going to have to change it, aren't you. After all, there is no way that you can be overweight and still be beautiful.

Look at any advertisement. Is a woman being used to sell the product? How old is she? How attractive is she? What is she wearing more often than not? That woman will be no older than her early 20s, taller, slimmer and more attractive than average, dressed in skimpy clothing. Why do we allow ourselves to be manipulated like this? Whether the 90s woman wished to believe it or not, she is being forced into a mould.

She is being coerced into selling herself, into compromising herself. This is why we have 13-year-old girls sticking their fingers down their throats and overweight adolescents hanging themselves. When people ask me if I feel oppressed, I can honestly say no. I made this decision out of my own free will. I like the fact that I am taking control of the way other people perceive me. I enjoy the fact that I don't give anyone anything to look at and that I have released myself from the bondage of the swinging pendulum of the fashion industry and other institutions that exploit females. My body is my own business. Nobody can tell me how I should look or whether or not I am beautiful. I know that there is more to me than that. I am also able to say no comfortably when people ask me if I feel as though my sexuality is being repressed. I have taken control of my sexuality.

I am thankful I will never have to suffer the fate of trying to lose/gain weight or trying to find the exact lipstick shade that will go with my skin colour. I have made choices about what my priorities are and these are not among them. So next time you see me, don't look at me sympathetically. I am not under duress or a male-worshipping female captive. I've been liberated.

india : unity in diversity or is it????

Well we all have read that India is a multicultural country with blah blah religions and blah blah cultures and they say there is unity in diversity in India and i too agree with most part of it .... but i think we are failing to see the whole picture , today i read in news paper that some Muslim family wasn't allow to buy a apartment because 15 other families ( of 16 flats) in the apartment were Sindhi and wouldn't allow Muslims .. what the hell is this are we living in india which is communally divided and no i dont say that being a muslim i faced this before because somehow i have been lucky enough to be living in some great cities where people dont divide themselves on communal basis.

Also i am very disappointed these days because most of my friends dislike Gandhi ( mk Gandhi) .. .when i say some thing about this great man , they say " hey dont you know about Gandhi he was a fraud he did all these things for fame" .. hell with you do you think he lived wearing a khadi cloth like a poor guy and walked all over india or fasted to almost death for fame .. shame on you and i dont know somehow people blame him for the partition. I am ashamed that they didnt even care to read our county's history properly , it was Gandhi who was trying to stop the communal riots when nehru , s.patel and others were happily signing the forms or partition like class A politicians.

and why all this speech about gandhi ??? because he was the man who first tried whoel heartedly to stop riots that were rampant those days and yes i knew he made some mistakes such as giving importance to jinnah while he wasnt teh right representative for the muslims in india , but hey he was a human. And people here hate Gandhi but they like the MOF modi who was happy burning many muslim's houses and killing people while he was supposed to stop riots... and no i dont say that all of india is communal ( i love my country and in no way i dislike it , just that iam sad that even these kinds of incidents are happening in the greatest democracy of the world )..

What difference does it make to the dead, the orphans and the homeless, whether the mad destruction is wrought under the name of totalitarianism or the holy name of liberty or democracy?
mahatma gandhi

PS : all in good faith ... and no i havent joined any terrorist groups lately :P
