Today i happened to visit IBNlive and found this nice program. It is an interaction with Dr.Manmohan Singh with children at his house. He is as simple as ever and his answers show why he is one of the few ideal politicians in India :).
Go up on ibn live and search for it ..i have removed the player as ibn is such an arse that it shows up pop ups for embedded videos.grrrrr

Refuting Political Islam's Claims using open source software.
Well in my last post's comments Rohitj asked to clarify to what extent Politicalislam.com's claims are correct.Well to disprove him i'll use an opensource Quran study software for Linux called Zekr. It is a brilliant software by which you can study Quran in whatevr language you want :).
Now lets start by his first claim.
Now lets start by his first claim.
Right..Here is my answer , a quote from quran searched using the Zekr software :).
As an example, there is never any reference to humanity as a unified whole. Instead there is a division into believer and kafir (unbeliever).
Now this verse Doesn't speak about believer and unbelievers I guess?.His Second claim is(Quran 49:13) O mankind! Lo! We have created you male and female, and have made you nations and tribes that ye may know one another. Lo! the noblest of you, in the sight of Allah, is the best in conduct. Lo! Allah is Knower, Aware.
Well , Its so obvious dude.. World is divided into people who are men and who aren't (women). But anyway to disprove you again I quote this verse..
Humanity is not seen as one body, but is divided into whether the person believes Mohammed is the prophet of Allah or not.
(Quran 114:3)Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of mankindThe King of mankind,The god of mankind,From the evil of the sneaking whisperer,Who whispereth in the hearts of mankind,Of the jinn and of mankind.
Here it does not say God of believers , king of believers etc .
I would like to go on further but i would be wasting my time. But instead ill explain what tactic he used.Let me Quote a verse out of context from Quran.
Like if i Quoted this verse alone you would say that Quran is speaking of violence and is discriminatory right ?Now let me quote the full verse in context, i.e quoting a few verses before and after it,
I would like to go on further but i would be wasting my time. But instead ill explain what tactic he used.Let me Quote a verse out of context from Quran.
(Quran 2:190)And slay them wherever ye find them, and drive them out of the places whence they drove you out, for persecution is worse than slaughter. And fight not with them at the Inviolable Place of Worship until they first attack you there, but if they attack you (there) then slay them. Such is the reward of disbelievers.
Like if i Quoted this verse alone you would say that Quran is speaking of violence and is discriminatory right ?Now let me quote the full verse in context, i.e quoting a few verses before and after it,
Fight in the way of Allah against those who fight against you, but begin not hostilities. Lo! Allah loveth not aggressors.
And slay them wherever ye find them, and drive them out of the places whence they drove you out, for persecution is worse than slaughter. And fight not with them at the Inviolable Place of Worship until they first attack you there, but if they attack you (there) then slay them. Such is the reward of disbelievers.
But if they desist, then lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
And fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is for Allah. But if they desist, then let there be no hostility except against wrong-doers.
Here the verse doesn't refer to disbelievers perse , It refers to the ones who persecuted Prophet mohammed (peace be upon him). It asks to fight against those who persecute and attack you.It doesn't say to go out in the maket and kill anybody you can find.Like what would you do if a few hooligans come and beatup all your family and throw you out of your house ? would say " I am a peaceful person , i will not harm thou" .Obiviously no .. you would defend youselves by attacking them.SIMPLE. It even says Allah doesn't like aggressors , What more proof do you want ?
Please dont quote verses out of context. And please dont believe what every drunken idiot like this political islam guy says.
Oh btw here is a screenshot of Zekr.

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Say: O disbelievers! (1) I worship not that which ye worship; (2) Nor worship ye that which I worship. (3) And I shall not worship that which ye worship. (4) Nor will ye worship that which I worship. (5) Unto you your religion, and unto me my religion. (6) In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Mumbai and a few things I am missing here
Hi , I am in mumbai right now and i guess i am doing ok . The work here is kinda cool and my guide is so awesome that i dont have to work much ( Somehow his enthusiasm is greater than mine by orders of magnitude). But i must say my work is interesting. Also Mumbai is so huge that the fun u get by going to places is negated by the amount of effort u need to make to reach that place.
For instance i need to take 3 these red busses and the local train to reach from iit to BPCL.
And now i am missing somethings desperately here .. i would rather like to post their pictures ( note these pictures do not include my family and home which i am missing like hell)

Advani is a m0r0n!
Yes, you heard it right , he is a moron. wondering why I am so pissy about him ?
-> For irritating me with his absolutely horrible ads
->For trying to show that he is in tandem with the netizens , when actually he is a old fart who is happy to divide india on basis of religion.
->For even advertising on sourceforge.net . ( for which i decided to not to visit sfg till elections finish)
and finally hope you loose in elections dear dreadful granpa..
edit: i now blocked that ad with AdBlockPlus after nareshov's suggestion :P

The Open Source mini Conference at IITK ( aka as FOSSkriti) ended this sunday. We had to run around a lot to organize it and i wish FOSSkriti never ended. The people i met and the kind of work we did was awesome to say the least ...
On 12th night we had a workshop by Arun and Seth on open source web technologies during which they released bespin to public for the first time ever (\o/) and next day we had a talk on HTML5 by Arun again.
The 13th night we had the awesome Drupal guys ( Pratul and Gurpartap) conducting the Drupal Usability Sprint and it went pretty good and two girl even learnt to write a drupal module on the spot!
Our Inhouse guys ( Praneeth and Nareshov ) had a general webserver talk "Put it out the web way"and it went good.
Then Came the Sahana talk and hackfest by Ajay Kumar with Sahana's lead and author of Web2py available for us on the IRC to guide our people at the hackfest
Finally on the last day we had a Talk on Open web by Shwetank Dixit,Opera and a talk on Webkit by my favourite dev , Siraj Razick through Video Conference.

An Unique and Awsesome prime minister of India
Well He is my favourite Indian politician and as a person he is an ideal person to me.This few lines describe him (taken from thousands of well wishing posts for PM)
The PM is a rare person, an endangered species in this age.
1. When every 2-penny politician wants to promote his progeny, he has kept his family out of the limelight.
2. When every politician in the country is busy scoring political points, he has kept himself to his work ignoring all taunts.
3. Above all, when the prestige of every politician is measured by the number of court cases pending against him for thuggery and corruption, he is one person against whom even his bitterest rivals cannot point a finger.
4. He stands out for his simplicity and hardwork in stark contrast to the ugly profile of the average politician.
May God bless him with a successful treatment so that he returns to serve the nation with greater vigour and strength.
